Comprehensive functions

There are three step sizes in total. Two sets of buttons and one joystick are provided for ultra-fine, fine and coarse adjustments respectively. Buttons or the joystick can also be used for continuous movement. The Stop button can halt all motion at any time.

Beyond these basic functions, advanced button operations are also available, such as reversing movement direction, enabling/disabling stall detection, and turning backlash compensation on or off.

The focusing step size triggered by button presses or joystick movements can be configured via ASCOM Setup or the mobile app OasisMate. In addition to step size settings, we have added an adjustable step factor parameter. Long-press the F1 key to activate Advanced Function Mode 1, which allows you to modify the factor directly via the hand controller. This enables adjustment of step size per button tap without using a computer or mobile phone, delivering great convenience.

Its comprehensive set of functions means you barely need a computer or mobile phone to configure the electronic focuser when using this hand controller.

Bluetooth wireless control

The hand controller communicates with the electronic focuser via Bluetooth for wireless remote control. This eliminates the hassle of wiring and prevents vibration interference caused by connecting cables. It also offers greater flexibility in terms of your standing position and operating distance during focusing.

After powering on, the hand controller automatically scans and connects to the electronic focuser within several seconds, ready for immediate use. The Bluetooth connection does not require strict aiming; minor obstructions between the controller and focuser will not disrupt communication, delivering an excellent user experience.

The electronic focuser, hand controller and mobile phone can communicate with one another pairwise via Bluetooth. When the hand controller is connected to your phone, you can check the hand controller's information or adjust its settings in the OasisMate mobile app.

Though this hand controller is designed for visual observation and planetary astrophotography, it also serves as a handy assistant for deep-sky object traveling imaging. It helps you quickly complete coarse focusing and other operations efficiently.

This hand controller is compatible with both Gen 1 Oasis Focuser and Gen 2 Roes Focusers for remote operation.

The hand controller is powered by two AAA batteries. Batteries are not included upon shipment, so please prepare and install them before use.
